Lightning Bolts And The Deliberate Embrace Of Fear

Alan: Americans are more likely to be struck by lightning 
-- twice! -- 
than to be victims of a terror attack. 

We choose fear because it bunkers us in a semblance of safety. 

The alternative -- unconditional love -- is just too open!

Too exposed. Too vulnerable. Too real.
