When people come on here and call this nation's young adults stupid and ignorant and say they are idiots, I am sorry to see it, especially if you are a parent and are doing this. Keep it up. You are part of the problem that they face in trying to find their place in this world as they grow and learn. Are you people so old now that you don't remember what it was like to be young and enthusiastic and idealistic and ready to find your place and speak your peace? Where is the encouragement and the support for your children and the nation's children, for your friend's kids?
Jerry Edge I challenge anyone to ask one of the protesters to explain what the current gun laws are and what needs to be changed, and they will not be able to explain it to you. They are being led by the news media to protest for the left wing liberal gun confiscation agenda. Peaceful protesting anything is absolutely encouraged, but educating yourself on what has happened in other countries due to gun confiscation would be strongly advised.

I have a conspiracist friend who believes all mass murders at American schools are hoaxes perpetrated by Homeland Security "crisis actors" whose puspose is to sour Americans on The Second Amendment, thus setting the stage for abolishing #2. Here is part of my reply to Laura Wood who blogs as The Thinking Housewife. "The rationale that school carnage is designed to strip Americans of their "salvific" 2nd Amendment Rights fails to take into account that there is NO significant movement on "my side of the aisle" to revoke The Second Amendment. In fact, neither I, nor ANYONE I know, supports "abolition." A "well-regulated militia" yes... abolition, never. Perhaps more significantly, the United States government will always be able to selectively annihilate "undesirables" no matter how many guns they have... unless and until the populace gets TOTALLY fed up with its government, at which point that government will implode just like the Soviet Union imploded --- without a shot being fired. Please take this in... The Soviet Union -- particularly under Stalin, but also while Devious Donald's pal Putin was a rising star at KGB -- was the most murderous western regime in history. And that regime collapsed without a shot being fired. Not one bullet emerged from the barrel of a gun. The USSR simply imploded under its own dead weight. I have always held that a little knowledge goes a long way.
